P&G Coupon Book & Walgreen's Vicks Deal

If you bought today's paper (and you better have!) you might have noticed that the P&G Brand Saver featured a mail-in request for a $100 P&G Coupon Book. If you would rather print the form, want to see a complete list of the coupons it includes or have more more questions regarding this offer, check out this link.

Unlike most of the P&G Coupon Books, this one requires that you purchase at least $50 worth of any P&G products in order to receive one. The purchase requirement is before any coupons are used, so that shouldn't be hard to do.

If you did the razor/Olay body wash deal that I posted about here, then you've already spent $45.48 toward the $50*.

If not, try this deal out:

Walgreen's is currently running a RR deal on Vicks products. You will earn a $10 RR when you buy (WYB) at least $20 in Vicks products or a $5 RR WYB $10 worth. The smallest bottles of Vicks NyQuil and DayQuil are priced at around $5 each.

Deal Scenario:
Buy 4 bottles of NyQuil or Dayquil at $5 each
$5 x 4 = $20 (just enough to hit the $20 requirement)
Use 4 $1.50/1 any one Vicks product from the 2/7 or 2/21 P&G insert
$20 - $1.50 - $1.50 - $1.50 - $1.50 = $14
Buy 2 boxes of Puffs with Vicks at $2.39 each
Use 2 'Free box of Puffs with Vicks WYB any 2 NyQuil or DayQuil' MQ from the 2/7 P&G insert to score the tissues for FREE!

You will pay $14 out of pocket (unless you have RRs from previous deals to use) and will score a $10 RR. That's only $4 for 6 items - how often can you score name brand medicine for less than $1 a bottle?

What's even better is that you will have spent $24.78 toward your $50 for the Coupon Book! I've heard this is one of the few RR deals that you can roll (use the RR you earn from this deal to repeat it) so if you have the coupons to do this deal twice you'll only need to buy another $.44 worth of P&G items to hit the $50 mark.

Not sure what qualifies as a P&G item? Check out a full list of their brands here.

(My wonderful friend Sara emailed me about the P&G Coupon Book awhile ago-thanks for the heads up Sara!)

*Keep in mind that most mail in rebates (MIR) will require that you send the original sales register receipt. If you had planned on using your Target receipt for the $15 Olay Rebate you won't be able to use it for the P&G Coupon Book.
